waking up with leg pain that radiates from the lower part of the knee to the ankle, with calf pain. sore & aching and tender to touch from the front to the back of the legs as well as on the inside. once I start moving around it eleviates.

I hurt my ankle in Jan last year and my knee in March. The doctors at my university could not figure it out but when I went home for the summer I saw some really good sports docs who told me that my peroneal nerve was entrapped. After going to physical therapy all summer, taking prednisone, and trying a nerve block (which worked for 2 days and then the pain came back) I decided to get a nerve decompression surgery on my knee.
6 weeks after the surgery (the time the docs said), I started biking. I biked for 2 weeks and then started short jogging workouts and increased over time. My ankle was hurting a little with the running but not the way it did before the surgery and it didn’t hurt when the ankle was taped. However, my knee and my ankle have been hurting a lot when i lay down.
On Monday I had my first faster workout with short accelerations (start slow and increase into a faster run). It hurt a little during the workout but not that much. On Tuesday my ankle hurt to walk and this continued through Thursday, decreasing each day. I have not run since Monday. I saw my school sports doctor on Tuesday and she put me on voltaren but had no idea what the problem was and is sending me to our other sports doctor who I doubt will know either. Does anyone have any idea what this might be???
Today, walking a lot will make it hurt, but what hurts the most right now is staying still. If I stop moving I get a sharp aching in my ankle and some aching through my knee. The knee hurt on the outside back and the ankle hurts on the outside above the bone that sticks out right on the fibula.
Please help! It hurts when I lay down and is keeping me awake at night. I am a student and I really need to sleep because I’ve been sleeping through all my classes for the past 3 weeks.

I’ve read about a pillow called Posture Pal, but the only place I can find information or reviews is on their own website, which makes me skeptical. I’m hoping either a Posture Pal user or a chiropractor, physical therapist, or doctor knows something that might help me decide if it’s a good product and worth the cost? I’m looking for something to hlep me correct my head forward posture.

i had a decompression of my ulna nerve on my elbow.my scar seems to be healing well but the area is very hot and i dont know why.there is no seepage but obviously its hot and still quite sore.also as well as tenderness i have numbness around the back of the elbow. i had the operation just over 2 weeks ago.. any suggestions or help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi. I notice that after I eat I get a terrible lower back pain as if my finger was hit by a door. It is so painful and followed by a stomach pain. What is this? Anyone know the name? Is there a treatment? What’s the name of the disease? All I ate was a burrito and a glass of milk.

recently he went on a long flight and now he cant even move without having severe pain in his lower back upper hip area.
The severe pain started today in the morning when he was stepping out of the bath tub. he said before it just used to be on one side of his lower back and after the bath tub incident today it has spread to both sides.

I suffer with gas/flatulence, followed by severe, debillitating lower back pain that lasts for several days. Nothing seems to help it. I’ve tried over-the-counter remedies such as GAS-X or Beano, and they don’t help. These attacks usually occur after I eat peanuts, peanut products, or beans. The lower back pain is so severe I can’t go to work, I can’t exercise, I usually stay in bed with a heat pad. I was once told I have diverticulosis. I need help with this pain. Any advice would be GREATLY appreciated!

I have had this pain in my lower back for almost 3 weeks now. It feels like it runs straight across from hip to hip but feels worst at my tailbone. I don’t think I did anything to injure it. The pain gets worse when I bend to sit or stand but pretty much hurts all the time. Its a pretty severe, kinda burning sort of pain. Advil isn’t helping much either. Its even painful getting in and out of the car. Any idea what it could be? or how to treat it?

Symptoms include mostly extreme chest pain especially when taking a breath, also pain in abdomen and lower back, overall achy muscles and fatigue with loss of appetite. Occassional nausea, and headache. Disoriented and dizzy feeling. Very gassy. All tests have come back normal, inc CT scan, EKG, blood and urine tests also normal. One doc says maybe strep or mono, but there is no sore throat and no other cold-like symptoms. Web md and other sites offer different ideas for some symptoms, but so far nothing can explain, not even any of the docs, why the severe chest pain….. anyone with info is much appreciated. One more thing fever of about 101.7 occurs consistently for about 5 days.

I am suffering from chronic back pain which is caused by a raptured disc in my lower back which also sends burning pain to my left leg. The amount of pain is emmense, sometimes intollerable. The specialist told me to do surgery but I am reluctant to that because I know a few people who did surgery but their condition is no better than what it used to be before surgery. A friend gave me the phone number of a doctor who claims that he treats this with spinal decompression in a machine and asks for $10,000 which insurance won’t cover.
Does anyone know if that is going to be effective or do surgery. Please advise from your experience and knowledge that which movements are good to do, which physical activities and what to avoid? You would have helped a person who is dying from pain. Thank you.
