Comment posted Hi, anyone had any success getting rid of sciatica with exercise.? by Kandoo.
Exercise can be really good for muscle and nerve repair. It helps loosen then when u stretch out and then they strengthen. If u think that it might help more than the pills i say try it. Getting some good exercise is never a bad idea anyway.. But dont do too much if it continues to hurt or get worse. Although it might help it might not show signs right away.. it may take time. Meanwhile u should still take ur meds that ur doc gave u and tell the other doc that ur going to try exercise. i have a lot of muscle issues so i know how it is..hope it works
=) good luck

- Hello, I am an acupressure therapist and I have successfully treated sciatica with acupressure and exercises. There are several exercises for sciatica with diagrams too. Please write to me for detailed information on the exercises so that I can mail them to you.
My email id is : amembal4444@yahoo.comTake vit B12 tabs morning and evening for 15 days.
Take Colocynthis 200 – 4 pills 4 times daily till symptoms abate.
Colocynthis is one of the best homeopathic medicines for sciatica. You should get relief quite fast.
Remember, sciatica is a pinched nerve syndrome and as such is non treatable or non curable. Exercises alone can bring much needed relief.
- Try walking a little bit. Avoid weight lifting. Staying active has helped allot with my sciatica. One thing I learned is to avoid the narcotic pain meds. They made my sciatica worse. Gentle stretching has helped too. Try laying flat on your back and hold your knees to your chest.
- Walking helps, but be sure to wear good, supportive shoes, avoid hills and stairs, and do all things in moderation. Some stretching can help too, but the only way to rid yourself completely of sciatica is to find and treat the cause. Unfortunately mine is caused by permanent nerve damage, so all I can really do it learn how to better handle the pain and how to find ways to reduce it. Sometimes nothing helps but the medication. It’s been my life for 14 years now, so I know how you feel. Best wishes.
- There is no medicine for almost all painful diseases. Hence they become chronic.
Acidity, excessive wind, cold , heat, sour food and sinusitis, constipation, intestinal inflammation;
Blockage in the flow of Vital Energy are their causes. None of them can be treated with medicine. Our 90% success in treating pains confirms it.
Acupuncture is the best treatment, but acupuncturist needs mastery. I have treated failed surgeries also.
I can treat it with naturopathy and YOG, but how can you manage pl see.Source(s):

- Bad muscle aches in my arms back and neck played wii last night threw something out bad what can I do?
I’m no doctor, but you might try asking on this forum…http://christianforums.com/f620
- Chronic neck, upper back and lower back pain management options?
I would really recommend chiropractic. I have seen chiropractic help someone like you.I really wish you the best
- Vertebrla subluxation questions?
You really need to find a chiropractor to answer these questions. Treating/understanding subluxation is a chiropractic specialty. You might try asking in YA’s Alternative Medicine Section, but a visit to the chiropractor would be much better. You are unlikely to get an informed answer here in the Mens Health Section.
- How can i do sit ups/crunches on an exercise ball without hurting my back?
I find that if I roll forward so that the small of my back is against the ball, my back doesn’t get sore. But I’d suggest that you check with an excercise professional if you continue having a problem. - How can i do sit ups/crunches on an exercise ball without hurting my back?
Iknow what you mean. Using pillows won’t work because they will move and fall out. If you can get a yoga mat, they are fantastic to do sit ups on. If you do them on something to soft, the sit ups don’t do much to ur stomache and if you do it on something 2 hard, it hurts really bad. Good luck finding a yoga mat!
