Hi Collin’s mommy. Firstly, try not to worry as abdo pain is very common at this stage in pregnancy and is usually something as simple as your ligaments softening or your uterus growing or quite simply your body adjusting to pregnancy. Lower back ache can be a sign of urine infection, which unfortunately pregnant women are prone to. Is the back ache around your kidney area? Your midwife would be able to tell if it was urine infection by doing a simple urine test, you might need antibiotics. You should increase your fluid intake and if you can, try and drink cranberry juice as research has shown it’s really effective in helping and preventing urine infections. hope this helps
I’ve also lost 2 in the past and know how scary it can be to get pregnant again. I’m now 31 weeks. I’ve called my doctor so many times with every pain and so far nothing has happened. Pregnancy is full of all kinds of pain. My doctor always tells me as long as I’m not bleeding or the pain is unbearable not to worry. Cramping, sharp shooting pains, etc, are all normal. Call your doctor though, and run it by him/her, otherwise you will just keep on worrying. Worrying is not good for you or the baby. Also, make sure you are drinking plenty of water. When ever I start to get crampy that helps me. Hope all goes well.
I think maybe you should call your OB and at least talk to a nurse and see what they have to say. You’re probably okay if you’re not having any bleeding or spotting, but I would call just for peace of mind. Good luck!
i would call your OB, pain that early would make me nervous.
