strong pain in lower and right side of back and shoulder gets more intense with each breath
I have had lower back pain for over a year now. Every time I go to the doctor they say that it is nothing. Some days I can barely stand up without terrible pain and some times it causes my legs to go numb. What could this be?
i just masturbate every other day. because when i used to do it once a day, i was having lower back pains (not really pain, but some sort of quick fatigue in the lower back) whenever i do bench press or back workouts. my knees also feel weaker at times when i do it everyday. Is this connected to once a day masutrbation? cos ive heard of it b4, im not sure if it is just a myth. these stopped when i started just doing it every other day. But i really wanna do it once a day cos sometimes its hard to control. tnx
I have been having back pain for about 2 years now. It comes in spurts and last from 1-3 months, then seems to go away. I have had 2 MRI’s, about 1.5 years apart, and each time they came back with normal results. The pain starts in the lower back, then radiates down my right leg to the knee, rarely below the knee. Twisting causes the most pain but sometimes there are spurts when any type of motion hurts. I have been seeing a chiropractor for 2 months now and the pain still is not going away. Is there possibly something else wrong, maybe something with the nervous system or somethings else. I am in great shape, workout 3 times a week and eat an extremely well balanced diet. Any ideas? If so, please backup ur answer with some website or source I can look into. Thanks
I injured my wrist last sept ( hamate fracture) and was put in a cast for three weeks. After cast was removed I still had problems with my hand so was refered for various tests, which one test showed the unlnar nerve was compressed hence the reason I could not feel two of my fingers.
I had cubital tunnel decompression surgery in April 2007 and have been left with a 10 inch scar to the back of my elbow , which does not look very nice.
My question is “how long does it take for my elbow and wrist to return to normal”? I still have odd numb sensations/brusing and also a burning, aching feeling in hand.
Any info would be most appreciated.
I have the option of going to Physical Therapy or a Chiropractor to have them look at my back.
I have sciatica and probably a herniated disc. I’m 17 and otherwise fit. Opinions please.
I am only two mo. but off and on I have been havin some pain. It does go away after layin down but, what could causes it?? I go to my first apt. May 7, 2008 . I don’t know if I should wait till then. I may just call but, I am kind of scared. I have lost two in the past but, I do have my handsome 1yr Collin.
Well about a week and a half ago, I did stock at work, nothing out of the usual. I picked up some heavier boxes, but nothing insane, and I didnt feel any pain until later that night, about 5 hours. We went to see a movie and when I got up it was horrible. It is only on the left side, and it is righ where my back and butt meet. And yesterday, it was kind of like pulsing when i sat a certain way.
Well about two days ago, I felt numbness in my toes, and i thought maybe my sock was too tight or something cutting off the circulation. Well, I get the numbness now without socks or anything. What could this be, and how can I help it.
Also, when I sneeze and cough it causes my back SO much pain right in that spot.
Sometimes its worse than other times as well. And the simple task of getting up off a chair or laying down kills!

My question was:
“Does Decompression Therapy with the DRX 9000 machine relieve back/neck pain? Anyone tried it?”
Anyone know what is wrong with this question?
i’ve had severe lower back pain for about a month. the pain is on the left side just beside my spine. my right eye started twitching 2 weeks ago and has been almost constant. i just wonder if the two are related. anybody experience anything similar?

For about a year now i have been experiencing pain in my lower back which starts in the early hours of the morning and is worst by the time i have to get up. At first i thought it was muscular and would try to just stretch it out or rub it. But now i am starting to wonder if it may have something to do with my kidneys? This is because i am often very thirsty on a morning and am wondering if this may be causing my back pain. I don’t have it during the day once i’m up and about though.
What do you think? Muscular or not?
I suffer from lower back pain while at work. It’s caused from standing on a hard floor for 8 hours a day. Back belts are not allowed. Is there anything I can do to ease the pain while i’m working?
I hurt my ankle in Jan last year and my knee in March. The doctors at my university could not figure it out but when I went home for the summer I saw some really good sports docs who told me that my peroneal nerve was entrapped. After going to physical therapy all summer, taking prednisone, and trying a nerve block (which worked for 2 days and then the pain came back) I decided to get a nerve decompression surgery on my knee.
6 weeks after the surgery (the time the docs said), I started biking. I biked for 2 weeks and then started short jogging workouts and increased over time. My ankle was hurting a little with the running but not the way it did before the surgery and it didn’t hurt when the ankle was taped. However, my knee and my ankle have been hurting a lot when i lay down.
On Monday I had my first faster workout with short accelerations (start slow and increase into a faster run). It hurt a little during the workout but not that much. On Tuesday my ankle hurt to walk and this continued through Thursday, decreasing each day. I have not run since Monday. I saw my school sports doctor on Tuesday and she put me on voltaren but had no idea what the problem was and is sending me to our other sports doctor who I doubt will know either. Does anyone have any idea what this might be???
Today, walking a lot will make it hurt, but what hurts the most right now is staying still. If I stop moving I get a sharp aching in my ankle and some aching through my knee. The knee hurt on the outside back and the ankle hurts on the outside above the bone that sticks out right on the fibula.
Please help! It hurts when I lay down and is keeping me awake at night. I am a student and I really need to sleep because I’ve been sleeping through all my classes for the past 3 weeks.
