I am a 48 yo black woman, obese. The pain is ongoing, even though I can still function daily, but it does seem to be getting slightly worse. It hurts to stand up straight after sitting for awhile.

I wake up every morning with lower back pain. also need workouts. cause my upper back doesn’t look like it aligns with my lower back when i look at myself on the side with my mirror. is it bad if the upper back is bigger than the lower back and it doesn’t look like they align?. yes i know the spine is still connecting them both. i hurt my lower back my sophmor year in high school doing squat. i’m now 19 and a chiropractor is out of the question. too expensive.

Anyone have a home remedy? I have a pinched nerve that when flared up, makes my “boys” feel like someone is stepping on them, and the pain goes all the way to my big toe. I’ve had epidurals, but I’ve had too many recently, so the doc has cut me off. Prednisone helps, but I know it’s not good for you. The biggest problem is when I’m driving, not walking or working. I have all kinds of wedges and cushions for my seat, but they don’t last but 35 minutes or so. What can I do at home to help? Ice? Heat? Stretching?

Causes of Menstrual Back Pain
Back muscle pain can be caused by the same hormonal changes that cause abdominal cramping during the period. Chemicals called prostaglandins are responsible for promoting uterine contractions during menstruation. These same chemicals can cause havoc throughout the body and especially in the lower back muscles. This condition can be much worse in women who also suffer from hormonally induced pre-menstrual syndrome.

I’m in good shape and in my mid 30’s but over the past year I have, for no discernible reason, been hit (all of a sudden and on 2 different occasions) with debilitating lower back pain that just cripples me for days and then goes away.

Sometimes we need to compress file size for audio/video files (which are generally huge in size) to save space. Is the audio or video quality reduced due to this? How do we know which of the many programs available are good/bad in this respect? Please suggest which compressing programs are good for audio/video/text file like pdf/ps?

Asking a question like this on yahoo answers is going to get you a lot of stupid responses about the two professions. If you are really throwing up these two options then I suggest you do some good reading, and maybe visit a couple of each to find out about what they do, because its not really at all similar.
Me personally, I would do to the Chiropractic school, but this is only because thats what helped me with my own personal problem. And thats what most peoples opinions are going to be based on.
Find out some more about the professions and make an educated opinion, not just one based on what other people have told you.

Right now I am experiencing some lower back pain and have decided to see a chiropractor. I have to fill out paperwork that asks me to list other conditions. It’s already such a huge stigma to have a mental illness. I would prefer to tell as few people as possible. Why should I have to tell them about some other health condition and medications I’m taking for it, if my back is whats hurting?

Okay, I have the birth control Mirena (IUD) and for the past couple of days I have had pain in my lower abdomen and my lower back. I don’t know if my birth control has anything to do with it or if I could maybe be slightly dehydrated or have some sort of infection. I have no other symptoms (bleeding, etc.) and I don’t know what it could be. Please help!! Thanks in advance!

it feels like a sharp pain that goes straight across. I went to the doctor but he said he wasn’t for sure what it was but thought that it might be from a past surgery I had in 2001! I had gastric by-pass and i have some “NOT A LOT” of loose skin hanging. What do you think?
